SXSW: Mayer Hawthorne & Egon

SXSW: Mayer Hawthorne and Egon played records for a bunch of people who didn't care all that much. Except for NPR's Washington based staff (who got down), Solange Knowles (who “just had to meet Mayer”) and that chubby dude from The Office who plays Pam's ex-fiance Roy (who hung out by the DJ booth as Egon played West African psychedelia for an hour). All in all, not that bad.
Later - Mayer's showcase at the Waxpoetics party was off the hook - so much so that we didn't take photos - and Jeffrey's has to be one of the best restaurants in Austin.
