It's here: Dr. No's Ethiopium

- November 16, 2009
YES. HERE.
OH NO - DR. NO'S ETHIOPIUM
Exclusive CD & digital release. LP tba.
When we announced an advance digital release of Ethiopium last September, little did we know that Oh No would not bring himself to finish work on the album for a few more weeks. What we have now is a newly completed and expanded 36-track version of Ethiopium. The CD is available exclusively at Stones Throw, and will be released worldwide on CD and vinyl in coming weeks.
Oh No created Ethiopium with help from Egon's record collection, inspired-by and sampled-from rare 60s and 70s Ethiopian funk, jazz, folk, soul and psychedelic rock. It is the followup to his 2007 album Dr. No's Oxperiment, the Turkish and Lebanese-inspired instrumental beat album.
(Read up on your qenet modes[1] and tezetas[2] yet?)
Notice for Advance Digital Orders:
Thank you to everyone who ordered Ethiopium as an exclusive digital album on Stones Throw - come grab the updated 36-track MP3 version at no cost. If you ordered the digital copy of Ethiopium prior to Nov. 17, login to your account on the website, go to My Account > My Downloads, and download a fresh copy of Ethiopium. This offer is valid through Nov. 22, and only for the full-album purchase of Ethiopium.
