Duppy Gun & The Congos - Icon Give Life

Coming just a couple days after announcing our project with the label Duppy Gun, the Duppy producers Sun Araw & M. Geddes Gengras have released a live recording with reggae legends The Congos.
The 5-track EP ICON GIVE LIFE was recorded live, backed by the Raw Power band, at the Village Underground (London, UK) June 22nd, 2012. It's available on Bandcamp with a "name your price" price tag.
Sun Araw, M. Geddes Gengras, The RAW POWER BAND, and The Congos are planning additional live dates throughout 2013. In the meantime, the next Duppy Gun 12" SPY is set for a February 2013 release.
If you're not up on your roots reggae classics, give yourself the holiday gift of The Congos 1977 album Heart of the Congos, produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry, and undoubtedly one of the greatest recordings of the era.
