This minimal reinterpretation of the Stones Throw logo by Nick Herder was the winner of an open call we put out a while ago for T-shirt designs.
Reached for comment, Nick's legal representation responded saying, "In the view of my client, it is an a stone, an egg, a record, a coin … in short, all the necessary components for a record label logo."
Asked for further explanation, he responded simply, "Before Color, my friends."
